The Road Home Ministries Inc. (TRHM) was originally started by Kathleen and Gary St. Martin in late September 2022 after Hurricane Ian devastated the Englewood, FL area. As Kathleen recalls it, God woke her up, telling her to adopt a homeless camp. So Kathleen and Gary went on a mission to find a homeless camp here in Englewood, FL. They found some campers and asked if they could provide them meals. They were very thankful for the food and Jesus’ Hands and Feet, as Kathleen originally called their ministry, was born.
After months of providing meals to the homeless in the area, Kathleen, Renee Angus and Kelly Kroll met to work on forming an ‘official’ non-profit organization. The Road Home Ministries Inc. (TRHM) was organized as an IRS 501(c)3 non-profit organization on October 3, 2023. Donors can deduct contributions made to TRHM under IRC Section 170. TRHM’s IRS annual financial Form 990 can be found on the IRS website and state of Florida’s annual return on the FL Department of Consumer Services website.

At The Road Home Ministries, we provide meals, clothing, supplies and other resources to the homeless in our community. Our programs are designed to meet the unique needs of each individual or family we serve.
We are proud to partner with a variety of organizations and churches to support our community. Our partnerships enable us to expand our reach and provide even more resources and services to those in need. Some of the churches and organizations we have partnered with recently include Westcoast church, St. Francis of Assisi church, Fellowship church, Englewood Bible church, EPIC Community Resource Center, Jesus Loves You Ministry and many others. We know that it takes a village to support and provide resources to our campers.
Since 2022, we have helped countless individuals and families to cope with homelessness including the challenges of food insecurity, legal and social issues. Michael is an example of one of our success stories. After a work injury, Michael was no longer able to work and lived out of his truck for more than two years. We helped him and his kids with meals, clothing, support and resources until he was able to successfully navigate the legal system to receive disability benefits. Michael has since been able to purchase his own home in Englewood and is thriving! Michael's success story is a testament to the impact of our programs and the dedication of our team and supporters.
